Our County is changing in many ways. One thing that can NEVER change is that we need to feel safe in EVERY part of our County—whether we are walking from our car to our front door or going out for an evening.
We have a police department and a fire and rescue service that are both rated among the best in the nation. We need to continue to have the best-trained and most experienced public safety employees.
To do that, we must provide them with the resources they need both to keep us safe and to encourage those employees to continue their service beyond their first retirement opportunities.
Police must have all the resources they need to combat the No. 1 problem in some communities: the rise of gangs.
