Only one-quarter of road resurfacing projects suggested by the County Department of Transportation appeared in the originally approved County budget of last year.
DOT knows that taking care of road improvements on a regular schedule will be the best plan to keep our roads in good shape in the future.
We must do a better job of plowing snow from all roads—even in neighborhoods. No one in Montgomery County should have to wait days to see a plow, regardless of the depth of a snowfall.
Completing the M-83 highway to relieve congestion on I-270 and throughout the Upper County needs to be a priority, not a continuation of a 50-year plan. We must take steps to build M-83 NOW.
